Hoop Addict

I suddenly had the urge to revamp the Davao Online Telephone Directory I made. Its mostly an aesthetic change. 3.5 days consumed to change the skin and do some minor modifications under the hood.

I like the header picture a lot (it rotates). The one on the front page I took while some friends from Manila were in Davao. There’s something about that shot that inspires me whenever I see it. It reminds me of the times I was in Manila and always longing for home. If only I could find the shots I took of that spot when I was still a kid, boy that would be a great historical shot for comparison purposes.

I think I’ll post a gallery in there soon.

I forgot to post that my little side project turned one already. Last May 21, Davao Directory Online turned one. It seemed like just a few months ago I was thinking about a new site for the people of Davao. Nice to see that the city of citizens of Davao are making good use of it, based on the number of hits its getting a day as well as the number of submissions we get a month.

It was mostly a companion site to Davao Exchange, my version of a Free Online Classifieds site for Davao. It came to fruition because I wanted to help the business men who were listing their businesses at the Buy and Sell site. The problem was with the deluge of classified posts being submitted per day, the business listing got covered easily. The best way to fix this problem was to put up a separate site for business listings.

And the best thing about it? Is that it is free.

Hey the UAAP is just a few months away. I wonder if I have the time to give live updates of the game?

Just found myself visiting these old blogs of mine… not much memories and thoughts were written down here because I was blogging already at my personal blog when I signed up for this one… but its great to have a lock on you screen name in these public blogs

My ISP (Smart Bro) is on the fritz again, or is it?… I can access some sites while some sites just time out… is it a problem with my ISP or the entire internet in general?

Earlier in the day I was able to access my web based email… then now it’s not accessible… weird…

I guess yesterday there were already telltale signs, hence I was thinking that it was my ISP that had problems… namely that I couldn’t load any attachments on my emails… weird…

And the sad part about this is that I have some work to do… grarrrrr

First post in this blog… no idea yet what I’m going to do with this… but it would have been great if I could import my existing theme from my current wordpress blog… if that was so… I would have been posting from here already…

Till then, I’ll still be blogging happily at my current blog….
