The Artist in Me

leave a comment »

I loved sketching when i was kid… when I was young my parents noticed my inclination for drawing so they shipped me off to one of those summer classes where they teach you how to be an artist on canvass…

Mostly we did charcoal. What we learned was symmetry of the human body and that the female form is more beautiful than the male form because of the curves… maybe it was because our teacher was a dude hence he made that generalization? But hey, nobody complained.

There is that generalization that if you like drawing you should end up in an engineering related field. Well it takes a whole lot more than that I have to say. I took up an engineering course and engineering classes lasted only 2 semesters. And it was good too that we were already taught engineering drawing in highschool so it made life easy. But in engineering, its the math and physics courses that will kill you.
